There was a zebra helping people cross Lincoln at 9th Thursday evening. There was also a small pop-up art display and a table and chairs. This bit of "tactical urbanism" was the result of work from Build Public, a non-profit that aims to provide "safe shared places to relax, play, connect and celebrate."

To educate neighbors about the goals of the Vision Zero and Green Benefit District (GBD) campaigns, over the course of four days between April 27 and May 7, Build Public and Street Plans Collaborative will deploy creative roadside displays at various intersections along Lincoln Way inviting residents and visitors to take action to improve the Inner Sunset neighborhood. Visitors will be able to learn more about both the city’s Vision Zero campaign and the Inner Sunset’s ongoing GBD formation effort - and ways to get involved in both.

This display is just the first of several coming to the Inner Sunset:
- Tuesday May 2, 2017 - 7th & Lincoln, 4-7 p.m.
- Saturday May 6, 2017 - 9th & Lincoln, 11-2 p.m.
- Sunday May 7, 2017 - Location TBD, 11-2 p.m.
