Opening later this year, the project will capture and infiltrate rainwater and urban runoff - turning dried out and unmaintained large medians into recreation areas with paths, landscaping, and more than 300 trees.

Irwindale Active Transportation Plan Envisions a Safer, More Bike- and Pedestrian-Friendly Future
The city currently has two bike facilities. The new plan proposes adding 39 bicycle projects and 71 pedestrian improvements over the next 10-20 years. The city council is expected to approve the plan this month.
