L.A. Metro Expected to Approve 2017 Bike-Share Expansion
At its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, the Metro board of directors is expected to vote on final approvals for the 2017 Metro Bike Share expansion. In October 2016, the Metro board approved funding for bike-share expansion in three locations: Pasadena, Venice, and the Port of Los Angeles.

Bike-Share Can Get State Funding to Reach Low-Income Communities
At its meeting a few weeks ago, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) agreed to include bike-share in its Car Sharing and Mobility Options pilot program. That means that areas that are figuring out how to get bike-share into low income areas now have a new funding option.
