Metro Offers Update on Rail-to-River Bike/Ped Path Design
Metro expects to see the preliminary (30 percent) design completed shortly and to hire a design/build construction contractor to finish the plans and break ground by mid-2018. The project would be completed in late 2019, around the time that the Crenshaw/LAX Line would be opening.

Metro’s Plan Would Electrify Bus Fleet by 2030
Metro staff presented a plan for an all-electric bus fleet by 2030. The only concrete steps the agency is committed to is electrifying the Orange and Silver Lines by 2020 and 2021.

Foothill Gold Line Montclair Extension Early Construction Will Start This Year
The Metro Gold Line is being extended 12.3 miles to Montclair. Early utility relocation work will be getting underway this year, with the line expected to open in 2025-26.

L.A. Metro Expected to Approve 2017 Bike-Share Expansion
At its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, the Metro board of directors is expected to vote on final approvals for the 2017 Metro Bike Share expansion. In October 2016, the Metro board approved funding for bike-share expansion in three locations: Pasadena, Venice, and the Port of Los Angeles.
